H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has issued an Emiri Decree regarding the Ajman Digital Government, which is effective from the date of signing.

According to the Decree No. 09 of 2017, the Ajman e-Government will be re-organised to be a government central directorate, directly affiliated to the Crown Prince of the emirate under the title the 'Central Directorate of the Ajman Digital Government' and may be referred to by its abbreviated name "Ajman Digital Government". The Directorate shall perform the functions and fulfill the objectives assigned to it under the provisions of this Decree.

The Decree, which comprises 15 articles will tackle the legal status, objectives, provision of strategic initiatives and recommendations of the directorate for the competent departments in the emirate.

The Decree called on all competent authorities to coordinate positively and effectively with the central directorate.

The Decree also stipulates that the central directorate shall have an organisational structure with main departments, that shall be established by the Director-General in coordination with the competent government authorities of the Government of the Ajman.

The Decree shall be issued in the Official Gazette of the emirate and to be circulated among all competent authorities.
