The Ajman Department of Tourism Development’s (ADTD) pavilion continued intensive activities and meetings at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, which will conclude on Wednesday evening. During the second day the pavilion received a great turnout from officials representing international tourism companies and media, and witnessed many distinctive activities and events that highlighted the attractions of the Emirate of Ajman.

HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General of ADTD and his team welcomed a VIP delegation from the UAE Embassy London led by Mrs. Rawdha Mohamed Alotaiba, Deputy Head of Mission and held several meetings with officials from various entities and tour operators from Germany, England and other European countries. The ADTD team spent time with many Gulf and Arab tour operators and briefed them on the advantages of Ajman and what the Emirate can offer visitors from Gulf countries whose nationals prefer the family-friendly tourism, compatible with the customs and traditions of the GCC. Delegates from hotels and companies under ADTD’s umbrella also held meetings with tour operators, especially those interested in Gulf and Arab countries.

ADTD’s delegation to the WTM made presentations about Ajman and its attractions, particularly its most recent project, Ajman Festival Land, which was launched just two days before the start of the WTM this year. Ajman Festival Land stretches over a total area of more than 90 thousand square meters, and serves as a unique family destination for entertainment, shopping and events. The project is one of the largest permanent exhibitions in the Northern Emirates and is expected to receive at least one million visitors in the first year.

Other exciting new attractions for visitors to Ajman include the Al Zorah Mangrove Tours offering kayak, canoe and giant paddle boarding experiences, and the newly launched Pearl Diving Dhow Tour though the Mangroves where tour guides explain the history and importance of Pearl diving in the UAE and guests can get the chance to open an oyster and, if they are lucky, find a pearl to keep as a souvenir. Also, soon to launch will be the Al Zorah’s Wake Park which offers outstanding watersport activities for all the family.

During the WTM in London, ADTD is also promoting its recently opened resorts and hotels such as the 5-star Oberoi Beach Resort Al Zorah and the 5-star Radisson Blu Ajman, which opened last week as well as those opening later this year. The Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche is scheduled to open by the end of 2017 and will feature 179 guest rooms including 41 sumptuous suites, and offers its residents stunning panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf.

We have already received positive feedback on the road shows and exhibitions we’ve attended to date, and we are confident on getting fruitful results from WTM.
