Under the patronage of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Interior, the Emirates Strategic Planning and Foresight Future Association (ESPA), today launched, at the headquarters of the Cultural Centre of the Ministry of Culture and Community Development in Ajman, the "Sheikh Zayed Strategies Initiative," as part of series of events that will take place in October at the ministry’s cultural centres around the country.

The launch was attended by Brigadier Ali Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of Strategy and Performance Development at the General Command of the Ajman Police, and several directors of federal and local government departments in Ajman, as well as students from public and private schools.

In his speech, Major General Dr. Abdul Quddus Al Obaidly, Chairman of the Association, expressed his happiness at launching the initiatives during the Year of Zayed, to remember the story of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, talk about his achievements as the founder of the country, and explore his wisdom that were reflected by his ideas and strategies.

He added that the association affirms that the personality of the founding father was highlighted by his charity work that touched everyone, as well as through his establishment of a great country, which is loved by the entire world.

"If we want to learn about the life of Sheikh Zayed, which is full of achievements, we need encyclopedias and books to document them," Al Obaidly said in conclusion.
