Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) is taking part in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London from November 5th to 7th, showcasing the attractions and destinations that are drawing an increasing number of tourists to the emirate.

The ATDD’s delegation is headed by HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, ATDD Director General, who said: “On the first day of this year’s World Travel Market, ATDD and our co-participants held very successful meetings with leading partners in the international travel and tourism industry, including major travel operators, investors and businesspeople. Ajman’s hospitality sector has continued to enjoy substantial growth in the past three quarters, and we are confident that increasing numbers of tourists will be visiting the emirate.”
Ajman is generating a lot of interest as a tourism destination. Between January and September this year, the number of guests at Ajman’s hotels grew by an impressive 13%. Occupancy and the number of room nights also increased by more than 6% and more than 10% respectively. RevPAR was up by 8%, and total revenue rose by 6% to AED 330 million.

ATDD recently opened its first overseas office in the UK, appointing Scott Marketing LTD to introduce the UK travel trade to Ajman. The firm will highlight the destination’s USPs – which include luxury resorts and heritage offerings – and ensure that travel agents and tour operators are aware of the emirate’s many activities, attractions and developments.

ATDD is welcoming visitors at Stand ME540, and its co-participants include Ajman Beach Hotel; Ajman Hotel; Ajman Pearl; Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort; Dino Live; Fairmont Ajman; Lama Tours; Miracle Tourism Destination Touristic Services; Musandam Sea Adventure Travel & Tourism; The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah; and Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche.
