PTL Solar, one of the region’s leading solar energy brands, participated at the first Ajman Green Economy Conference 2013, titled ’Less Carbon for Sustainable Development’, to present SOLCART – First portable solar power source.

The conference was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman and Member of the Supreme Council. The event was in partnership with Carbon Dubai, Ministry of Environment and Water and United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The event was held at the Kempinski Hotel, Ajman. The keynote speech was given by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuami chairman of Ajman Municipality, and also featured the participation of various environment experts in the area of sustainability and low carbon development who highlighted noteworthy environmental projects which is recognized through the efforts of the public and private sectors in energy efficiency, education and awareness, research & development and implementation of low carbon projects.

The SOLCART is designed to help individuals and enterprises reduce their diesel consumption for outdoor activities through the use of portable solar power source. The solar systems are housed in industrial quality portable trailer that can be towed anywhere and makes it very versatile to dictate your power needs. This off-grid solar system was powering small refrigerator, TV, lights and music system at the conference.

The keynote speakers at the event were H.E. Dr. Rashid Ahmad bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, H.E. Paolo Lembo, United Nations Resident Representative and Mr. Ivano Iannelli, CEO of Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence. Other panelists and speakers were selected internationally to complement the event strategy and include Dr. Kipling Perkin, United Nations Director and Dr. Finn Mortesen, CEO Denmark State of Green.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi also visited the ’PTL Solar’ stand where he was briefed on the solar initiative by Prabissh Thomas, Founder & Group MD – PTL Solar. Prabissh highlighted that the SOLCART is an independent, strong and portable solar power on-demand which supports the green initiative of Dubai Expo 2020 and works towards the implementation of UAE’s strategy in creating a green economy and sustainable environment.
