Ajman Ruler Issues Emiri Decree On Amending Local Military Service Law In Ajman (21 December 2014)
H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered an Emiri Decree No.12 for the year 2014, amending local military service law in the emirate of Ajman.
The Decree stipulated in its articles emending article No.2 of the Emiri Decree No.7 for the year 2009, in which the definition of "government department" will be deleted and replaced by the following definition: "government department include the General Command of Ajman Police, General Directorate of Civil Defence in Ajman and any department or institution or other governmental body set on the military budget of the Government of the Emirate."
The Decree also stipulated to delete article 89 of the Emiri Decree No. 7 of 2009 and replaced by the following article: "Implementing Regulations shall determine the financial benefits obtained by the national military soldiers at the end of his service with the Government of the Emirate," as of the effective date of this decree and all systems, decisions and the previous administrative instructions that are contrary to the provisions of this Decree.
It also deletes the definition of "General Administration" and replaced it with the following definition: "the Department of Finance," which (is) affiliated to the Department of Finance, Government of Ajman .
The Decree will be effective from the date of issuance and will be published in the official Gazette.
