On the occasion of Annual Ceremony of Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), The Ajman Palace Hotel received a special award from ATDD in recognition of its dedicated efforts and support to the organisation during 2014. Expressing ATDD's sincere appreciation for the hotel's contribution in promoting the destination, H.E. Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of ATDD presented the certificate to Ferghal Purcell, General Manager of The Ajman Palace Hotel.

 The Ajman Palace Hotel was the only hotel to receive this special recognition. Ferghal said, “To be recognized as Best Supporter in Hospitality Industry by Ajman Tourism Development Department is indeed a huge honour. We are extremely grateful to ATDD for this recogntion. Ajman as a destination has got amazing potential and we are very optimistic about the future.

Ferghal added, There is a need to create greater awareness about the destination itself. The fact that so many of the world's leading brands are present in Ajman only strengthens it as a destination and we all have to work together with the local tourism authorities to stimulate demand. Therefore, we have been participating with ATDD in all leading international trade exhibitions and roadshows such as the ITB Berlin, Otdykh Leisure Moscow to name a few. We have also been hosting a number of fam trips to promote our hotel and facilities to various tour operators and bookers. In addition, we are organizing the first and biggest hotel Wedding Fair in Northern Emirates on February 12 and 13 that's got some of the leading luxury brands taking part in it. It has created a huge buzz for our hotel as well as Ajman.

Ajman has a lot to offer in terms of tourist attractions as well as corporate facilities. Ferghal stressed, Ajman is home to many historical sites, lovely white sandy beaches, an enchanting museum, exotic souks and the largest dhow building yard in the world. The traditional way of Arab living has been well preserved here, providing a pleasant blend of the old and new. Similarly, its proximity to Sharjah and Dubai, excellent port and harbor facilities as well as great infrastructure place it in the top league for business. Plans for the international airport combined with new properties, infrastructure and attractions such as the golf course in Al Zohra will greatly boost tourism in Ajman positioning it as a sought-after destination in the years ahead.
