H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, last night received a group of Islamic scholars visiting the UAE during the Holy Month of Ramadan as guests of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They paid a courtesy visit to Al Zaher Palace on the occasion of Ramadan.

During the meeting, they extended their best wishes on the occasion to H.H. Sheikh Humaid and the people of the UAE and the Arab and Muslim nations.

Ajman Ruler and Sheikh Khalifa's guests highlighted the need to exchange views and dialogue with others to promote the teachings of Islam and introduce others to Islamic tolerance and moderation.

Sheikh Humaid commended the continuous care and support of the wise leadership to Quran centres, noting the need to take advantage of these centres in the upbringing of a student who knows his duty towards religion and his homeland.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Ruler's Representative for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, along with a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mohammed Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE), and Mohammed bin Obaid Al Mazrouei, GAIAE's Assistant Under-Secretary for Islamic Affairs, along with a number of other officials.
