Ajman Is A Regional Educational, Research Destination: Ajman CP (31 July 2016)
H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, today said the emirate has transformed into a regional destination for high education and scientific research.
He was speaking after signing a memorandum of understanding between the Government of Ajman and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, an affiliate of the League of Arab State.
The agreement provides for opening a branch of the academy in Ajman.
Sheikh Ammar added that the MoU also provides for establishing official and institutional cooperation and exchange of expertise and knowledge about legislative, administrative, financial, technical and technological rules in areas of common interest such as higher education, specialised scientific research and studies, development and training of human resources, among others.
Earlier, Sheikh Ammar and Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, met to discuss ways of promoting cooperation between the Government of Ajman and the pan-Arab institution.
During the meeting, Abdel Ghafar briefed the crown prince of Ajman on the education programmes offered by the academy through its College of Engineering and Technology; College of Maritime Transport and Technology; College of Computing and Information Technology; Graduate School of Business; Productivity and Quality Institute; and International Transport and Logistics Institute.
