The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a delegation representing the agricultural sector of China discussed ways of promoting cooperation in the agricultural sector, advanced agricultural methods, and how to increase their trade exchange in agricultural products.

The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the chamber, was attended by Marwan Hareb, Director of the Business Promotion and Investment Development Administration, and several of the chamber’s employees while the Chinese delegation was chaired by Wu Shibeng, Director-General of the Hunan Provincial Agriculture Authority, and included several officials and businessmen.

Hareb highlighted the importance of the meeting, as well as the ongoing relations between the UAE and China, which is witnessing clear overall cooperation.

He added that the UAE’s agricultural sector has witnessed many ongoing developments while pointing out that "waterculture" is among the key processes used in the agricultural sector. He then stressed the keenness of the wise leadership to support and develop the agricultural sector, due to its importance to the country’s economic development.

Hareb also highlighted the chamber’s keenness to reinforce the chamber’s cooperation with all relevant authorities and encourage young entrepreneurs in this vital sector, especially as the development of the agricultural sector relies on many operational and manufacturing areas and will open new project opportunities.
