Great Displays Of Flyboarding At Ajman Marina (28 October 2018)


Five winners at the Championship

Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) organised the UAE Flyboard Championship, and the first event was held at Ajman Marina on Friday under the patronage of Ajman Free Zone and Ajman Media City Free Zone, with logistical support from Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club. This marks the start of a new season of marine sports in Ajman.

The first event of the Championship was attended by Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, ATDD Chairman, Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi, Sheikh Rashid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi, and a number of officials and organisers. The event was also attended by a sizable audience and Flyboarding fans, who enjoyed the excellent display of Flyboarding skills.

Sixteen contestants took part in the competition, demonstrating their best moves for a jury. There were five winners including Hashir Mohamed Al Falasi in first place, Mani Habib Al Marzouki in second place and Khalifa Ahmed Al Muhair in third place, while the fourth and fifth place winners were Saud Hassan Al Hammadi and Saeed Zaabi respectively.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz said that the Flyboarding event, the first of its kind in Ajman, was extremely successful based on the turnout and the number of participants. This confirms that the people of Ajman are interested in such events, and that marine sports enthusiasts are excited to show off their skills. He congratulated the winners and said that all the competitors had demonstrated good skills. He thanked all the participants and those who contributed to the success of the event.

HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, ATDD Director General, said that the turnout was remarkable. He pointed out that young Flyboarding fans in Ajman and the Northern Emirates need and appreciate organised events, and that ATDD organised the Championship to give people a chance to showcase and develop their skills. He added that the Flyboard Championship had attracted a large crowd, especially as it was held on a weekend when Ajman Marina is a popular place for families. He also said that tourists are interested in seeing what is new in the Emirate, and that the Championship had helped to draw tourists. He thanked all the government agencies, sponsors and supporters who organised the Championship, as well as all the participants.
