ATDD sponsors Route 44 for classic and modified cars (18 February 2019)

Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), will attend Route 44, an ATDD-sponsored event for classic and modified cars, on February 22, 2019 at Al Zorah Marina 1, one of Ajman's premier tourism and leisure destinations.

With more than 400 cars from across the UAE at Route 44, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about rare cars, to see models from leading car manufacturers around the world and to take photos with the cars.
Route 44 is part of ATDD’s strategy to host an increasing number of events and activities in Ajman throughout the year in order to promote the emirate as a leading destination for leisure tourism and a preferred destination for lovers of collectible and classic cars.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz said, “Events, activities and festivals are one of the main pillars of the emirate’s tourism sector and we will continue to organise such events throughout the year. They are popular and they boost the tourism sector.”

HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, ATDD Director General, said, “By organising the Route 44 event for classic and modified cars, ATDD is providing the owners of rare and classic cars in the UAE with an opportunity to show their vehicles.”

His Excellency added, “The event showcases a collection of rare cars, most of which date back to the 1950s, to underscore the interest in developing communication between people of different generations and ages. There will be a large turnout of people of different nationalities and age groups.”

While classic cars are a hobby for the exhibitors and many of the visitors, collectors compete to purchase them.
