Ajman Government Pavilion At Gitex Tech Week 2019 Abuzz With Innovative Launches And Engaging Partnerships (7 October 2019)
Ohoud Al Shehail: Cooperation Agreements and Pioneering Projects showcase the digital transformation in Ajman
Ajman Government Pavilion on the first day of the 39th GITEX Technology Week was abuzz with launches of innovative services, pioneering projects and forging of partnerships. The technology week which runs from the 6-10 of October 2019 and will witness the participation of 12 Government Entities at the Ajman Government Pavilion.
Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a cooperation agreement with A for Value, a leading management consultancy in order to enhance cooperation in the field of risk management. This will enhance stakeholders’ confidence to do business at the local and international levels. They will assess risk in accordance with the data collected and will utilize latest technology and techniques to assess risk management that will be shared between the parties.
On the other hand, Ajman Free Zone launched “Start Your Business through Whatsapp”, a new service that enables investors to communicate and inquire about the various packages offered by the Free Zone. Start the establishment of their companies in simple steps by providing the system with personal data and the type of package required, so that the process of registration is automatically executed.
The Department of Tourism Development in the Emirate of Ajman has launched an open data portal project, with the aim of keeping pace with the economic growth witnessed by the tourism sector. It enhances transparency and trust in the government and this data can be used published and republished by any individual, legal entity or government entity.
Ajman Tourism has also launched a smart reception system, which aims to simplify procedures and build a comprehensive database of customers. This will ensure that the guests are well received in line with the seven-star system. This comprehensive service is provided to visitors of the department, suppliers, strategic partners and others. The visitor has to log in to the smart platform fill in his details and request the concerned department representative to meet him.
Ohoud Shuhail, Director General of Ajman Digital Government, explained that the coming days of GITEX will witness the launch of several innovative services and promising projects. The primary aim of them all is to enhance the customer experience, in addition to the signing of a number of cooperation agreements with prominent local and international bodies that will promote the process of digital transformation in the Emirate of Ajman.
She added, “We are proud to have 12 government entities participating at the Ajman Government Pavilion in this renowned technology week. We are pleased with the great development witnessed this year in terms of design, space, event management and the participation of scientific and technical entities. Our participation highlights our distinct determination to digitally transform the government services. Our effective participation engages the public in evaluating our services and recognizes the successful experiences of the users”.
The Ajman Government Platform will host a series of workshops, seminars and lectures in Arabic and English during GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK to raise public awareness about the importance of and technology and the impact of its on government services. They will be delivered by experts and specialists in the field and cover important topics such as information security, artificial intelligence amongst others.
