Dept. Of Culture In Ajman Joins DQG (23 November 2009)
The Department of Culture and Information in Ajman has joined "Dubai Quality Group" (DQG) as a strategic investor partner, where the partnership agreement was signed today at the department office in the presence of His Excellency Ibrahim Said Al Thahri, Director General of the Department, and Mr. Osama Al Rahma, Vice Chairman of Dubai Quality Group.
Mr. Osama Al Rahma said: ”According to this Partnership, the department can benefit from the unique services provided by Dubai Quality Group in the field of total quality and organizational excellence through consultancy, workshops, seminars and training courses offered by the Group to its partners in this framework”.
He asserted that, Department of Culture and Information will be able through this partnership to develop the cultural content offered to its audience, which varies between the literary, artistic, sporting, heritage and Social to commensurate with the size of the Arab, Gulf and local prevalence made by it since its inception.
"The Arabian and regional prevalence and successes which were achieved by the department require it to maintain what has been achieved, and strive to achieve new and greater achievements that would enhance the status of Ajman in particular and the UAE in general in the field of culture, heritage and Information. Thus, rises the role of Dubai Quality Group in enabling organizations to reach this goal through the implementation of quality standards in all activities and services undertaken by the organizations." Added Mr. Al Rahma.
He pointed out that the mechanisms being pursued by DQG has made it a point of reference for quality and excellence both locally and regionally. Moreover, DQG has succeeded in disseminating these concepts among the UAE business community; evidenced by organizing "Best Practices for Dubai Quality Award", " Ideas Arabia International Conference", "Emirates Business Women Award" and "Emirates Energy Award" which was launched by DQG late last September.
For his part, Mr. Ibrahim Al Thahri said: "The signing of this partnership agreement with the DQG emerged from our deep belief in the importance of organizational excellence and total quality at the administrative, functional and service level. So we will work side by side with the DQG for the development of information and cultural content that we provide to our audience especially our strategy requires us to reach to the local and Arabian audience everywhere an anytime."
"Department of Culture and Information has sought since its inception to meet the expectations of the audience and has accomplished achievements that contributed in the promotion of the Arabian and community culture. Furthermore, we look forward to strengthening our activities at the local and Arab levels, besides, opening up new international horizons. " Added Mr. Al Thahri.
Mr. Al Thahri also asserted that the Department of Culture and Information has become part of the UAE cultural scene since its inception, as it take its programs from the cultural diversity and modify it to suit the size of the diverse cultural and artistic programs that meet the aspirations of the cultural scene and obtain acceptance of the audience. In addition to that, the department regularly organizes many cultural events, Arabian nights, film shows, drama, fiction, seminars, meetings and forums.
