Ajman University Hosts Seventh Ajman University Students’ Research Day (31 May 2024)

Ajman University hosted the Students’ Research Dayin its 7th edition at Ajman Saray Hotel. The event served as a platform to promote a culture of distinguished scientific research and to foster the exchange of scientific and research experiences across various disciplines.

Aligned with the vision of "We the UAE 2031," the event aimed to contribute to the UAE’s goal of becoming a globally recognized hub for innovation and advancing research and development in science and technology.

The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Kamran Arshad, Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, alongside deans and faculty members.

During this momentous event, 92 exceptional students from a wide array of colleges and programs at Ajman University were celebrated for their outstanding achievements. The recognition extended to 35 scientific research projects, chosen from a pool of 147 submissions, which encompassed both group and individual projects by undergraduate and graduate students.

Prof. Khaled Assaleh, in his address, underscored Ajman University’s commitment to scientific research and its ongoing efforts to enhance its global standing through diverse academic programs. He took a moment to personally congratulate the students on their exceptional projects, commending their intellectual maturity, creativity, and deep understanding, and highlighting the significant impact of their research on society.

In discussions with winning students, Maryam Younis, a student from the College of Humanities and Sciences who collaborated on the research with her colleagues Afnan Saleem, HamdaAlhosani, Meera Abdulla, and Athari Alshamsi, shed light on their research on "The Psychological and Social Effects of Electronic Addiction: An Applied Study." They emphasized the importance of understanding and addressing the psychological and social implications of electronic addiction in daily life.

Furthermore, Karen Saad Zakaria, a student from the College of Business Administration, discussed her research, "The Ethical Dimensions of Adopting Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management," underscoring the significance of ethical considerations in technology use, particularly in the realm of human resource management.

Through hosting such events, Ajman University endeavors to cultivate a spirit of excellence and innovation in the scientific field among students while showcasing significant scientific research contributions to societal development.
