Ajman, Malaysian Varsities Opt for Joint Programmes (2 January 2010)
The Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) will collaborate with a Malaysian university to broaden its academic options and conduct research in the UAE.
The university recently hosted a delegation from the University of Malaya to strengthen relations and chart out different programmes for students of the colleges in engineering and business administration.
Professor Gauth Jasmon, vice chancellor of the University of Malaya said the university will cooperate with AUST in student exchange and visiting faculty initiatives and launch training and scholarship programmes for students.
The universities will also, together, enter into research activities.
According to Dr Ahmed Ankit, AUST vice president for External Relations and Cultural Affairs, the university will benefit from collaborative focus in fields such as business, engineering, information technology, Islamic education, pharmacy, dentistry and water engineering.
