Ajman Bank, the Emirate’s first Islamic commercial bank announced the addition of 3 new branches to its existing branch network.  During 2010 the Bank has established new branches in Deira - Dubai, Industrial area - Sharjah and Khalidiya in Abu Dhabi.

The new branches are positioned to cater for the diverse financial services requirements of their catchment area with focus on retail, affluent and SME customer segments.

The opening of the branches coincides with the launch of the customer service charter which spells out the customer service commitment of the Bank and the promise to excel in this space.

CEO of Ajman Bank, Mubashar Khokhar had the following to say on the formal launch of the branches:  "The UAE marketplace dominated by well established institutions and we have taken on the challenge to uniquely distinguish ourselves in this crowded environment by committing to and excelling in customer service delivery".

He further commented: "Our foundations and inspirations come from Shariah based values. We are confident that through the strength of our overall proposition backed by customer friendly processes, premises, knowledgeable staff and superior operational infrastructure, we will bring back the human touch to banking and create a sustainable edge over competition.

"Ajman Bank’s Deputy CEO Ali Essa Alshaqoosh commented on the bank’s growth, "With this expansion we continue to push our presence throughout the UAE and provide an even greater convenience for our customers who are situated in these areas. Opening an additional branch in the Capital is highly significant, and we shall continue our growth strategy of opening more branches with a focus towards the capital Abu Dhabi.

Ajman Bank now has 7 branches across the UAE and another one planned to be opened shortly in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi. The branch distribution network of Ajman Bank is supported by an elaborate electronic service delivery platform comprising over twenty off site multi service ATM machines, a 24x7 call centre, sms and mobile banking services. 

In 2009, Ajman Bank was awarded for the creativity of its credit card design by VISA and also won the "Best New Islamic Bank" award from Islamic Financial News.
