Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) announced that Ajman Run 2019 will be held in Al Zorah on Friday 15th March at 7 am. The Run is open to all men and women and, for the first time, students under the age of 16 can participate for free.

The Run is part of a series of sports and leisure activities and events that ATDD will hold throughout the year in order to promote tourism and enhance Ajman’s status as an ideal destination for tourists, leisure activities and events. Ajman Run 2019 is divided into 3 categories: 2.5 km; 5 km; and 10 km.

HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, ATDD Director General, said, “In line with the directives of the wise leadership, ATDD is enhancing the diversity of Ajman’s tourism products by increasing the number of entertainment, sports and cultural programs that cater to visitors of different ages and nationalities, making Ajman an integrated tourism destination for all segments of society.”

His Excellency added, “In addition to organising activities and events, especially sports events, regularly, we are keen to highlight the Emirate of Ajman’s attractions. Al Zorah was chosen as the location for this event to promote the emirate as an ideal destination for domestic and international tourists. This is part of ATDD’s strategy to enhance the role of activities and events and shape Ajman’s tourism landscape.”

ATDD has completed its preparations for the event, taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the Run’s participants by coordinating with Ajman Police, who will accompany the runners from the starting point to the finishing line and control traffic in the area.
